FAQ’s

Does Angel’s Antiques buy items from people?

No, we are not in the business of buying items from people, however we will be glad to put you in touch with one of our vendors that may want to talk with you.

When I have been in the store I keep seeing signs that say ” Do not take tags off of merchandise”  Why is that?  Wouldn’t it be easier for me to bring you the tag instead of trying to carry a heavy piece of furniture?

The reason for this is two-fold, first we need to see the item that you are wanting to purchase before the tag is removed and second, a lot of times people change their mind before they purchase something or they see something else cheaper or more suited to their needs and if you have taken the tag off the original item then we can’t sell it because it doesn’t have a vendor tag on it.  Any of our staff will be glad to assist you with bringing a heavy or big item to the front so that you may purchase it.

I have been in the store many times but I just  don’t have time to see everything.

We get this a lot because there is a lot to see, if there is a particular item you are looking for please ask, we may not know exactly where something is located (or we may) but we may be able to point you in the right direction to save you time.

If I find something I like can you hold it for me?

Our general policy is that we can hold items for that day only, that is only fair to the vendors, if you make special arrangements with the vendor then we will follow their directions.  The item will be tagged as taken but will not be removed from the floor.

Do you do lay-a-way’s?

Yes we do, if the item is over $250.00 it can be put on lay-a-way but must be paid off within 30 days.  The item will be removed from the floor and placed in the lay-a-way area.  If you do not pay for it in the time allotted, you will forfeit any money you have put down and the item will be returned to the floor for sale.

I purchased an item but it is too big for me to take with me, can you hold it for me?

We certainly will!  The item will be tagged and removed from the floor, you will be given a copy of a pick up receipt and all you need to do is present this receipt when you return and the item will be brought up for you.

I bought an item that is very large, will someone be able to help me load it?

Yes we are here to assist you in any way that we can, our staff will be more than happy to assist you in loading your item.

I am a new vendor and not sure how to go about bringing items into the store for my booth – do you open early for vendors?

No, vendors are not allowed in the store until it is open for business, however our staff will assist you in bringing items in if they are available.  If you don’t understand anything at all please ask, we are here to assist you in your business.

Can I make a purchase over the phone?

Yes you can, if you know what you want – say you saw it a few days ago and just needed to think about it – we will be glad to assist you, first we will verify that the item is still in the store and then we can complete your purchase.  Once this is done, the item will be removed from the sales area and taken to the storage area and you can make arrangements to pick it up.

One thing I noticed a few days ago when I was in the store and I bought something, I was asked for my phone number, why is that – am I going to be put on some sort of list?

No, the reason we ask for a phone is in case there is a mistake in the purchase, say you were charged more than you should have been – this way we have a way to contact you and make things right.  The numbers are not kept in a database or used for any other reason.

Why is it that I may see the same item in different booths at different prices?

All of our booths are rented by different individuals and they determine the price of an item they want to sell, we do not get involved in what an individual vendor may ask for a certain item.

How are prices determined for each item in the booth?

As stated above, each booth is rented to an individual and they set the price they want to sell the item for and several factors may determine the price, the main one being how much they paid for it, other factors may or may not include: research they have done on the particular item to see what the current market value is for that item, how long they have had the item, the condition of the item and so on.

Why do I see some people just standing behind the counter when there is a long line of people waiting to check out?

As always we try to get everyone out as fast as possible but sometimes lines do form, certain employees are trained to work the registers and some are not, the ones that are standing behind the cashiers are there to assist the ones working the registers; such as wrapping items, assisting people with their purchases, opening showcases and such.  So keep in mind that if a person is behind the counter they may not be trained to work the register.

I have noticed several showcases as I have walked into the store – how do I get into those?

All you need to do is ask for assistance, one of our staff will be glad to assist you.  Someone will open the showcase for you, all we ask is that you point out the item you are interested in and the employee will get it for you, they are NOT allowed to open more than one showcase at a time and we ask that you DO NOT reach into a showcase.  If you decide to purchase something from a showcase the staff member will take it to the counter and place it in a special holding area until you are finished shopping and it will be waiting on you.

Is there a waiting list to get a booth?

Most of the time there is, we have added over a hundred booths in the past year to try and keep up with the demand.  If you are interested in renting a booth all you need to do is contact us and we will see what we have available, if nothing is available in your price range you will be placed on a list and contacted when an opening occurs.
